Roppongi is known as a nightlife and entertainment district in Tokyo, but it’s actually a lot more than that. It’s Tokyo’s exciting melting pot where a large number of expatriates from all over the world live and work, giving it a very international and cosmopolitan atmosphere. The area comprises several of the most expensive residential buildings in Tokyo and houses the famous Roppongi Hills commercial complex with office and residential real estate, a cinema, a shopping mall with exclusive high-end designer boutiques, an art museum with temporary exhibitions, as well as a wide variety of restaurants offering cuisines from all over the world, from exotic to gourmet. When night falls, Roppongi lives up to its reputation as an entertainment district and a great variety of bars and clubs come alive with music and the sound of clinking glasses. Ranging from small, one-room counter bars, owned and staffed by a single person to the more spacious and exclusive party venues where it’s possible to dance until the early hours, Roppongi has countless places to enjoy a night out with an international feel. Whether it’s live performances, museums, cafés, bars, shops, restaurants or clubs, it seems Roppongi offers something for everyone. Disadvantages: There are a few negative points about using this service. First, I thought the internet connection was quite slow. I think it’s useful if you just want to send a couple of messages or find out an address, but not enough to stream a video or to make a voice call through an app. Also, I thought the registration process, although not particularly complicated, was kind of long.
For a much faster and reliable connection, try a mobile wi-fi rental solution such as Ninja Wi-Fi.
